Two new beauty shots

While finishing my website earlier today, I also finished the retouching on some old beauty pictures. Here's Janea and Priscilla in bright bold lip colors, both shot by photographer Beth Coller!

The z palette

I had two Old Age makeups applied today, Stretch & Stipple and all. My skin is hating me right now cause I removed it to quickly. It's kinda like a skindeep peeling!
Another thing I did tonight was depotting all my eyeshadows from Makeupstore and putting them in my Z palette. This magnetic palettes are great, you can mix your favorite colors in one palette and it takes up no space at all compared to having tons of single eyeshadows. But the depotting is not as great, time consuming and frustrating. There is some really good tutorials on YouTube on how to do it but most of them requires a kindle or some kind of lighter at least, which I do not have. So I did it the hard way, in the microwave, where you heat them up to melt the glue and trying not to melt all the plastic. It worked well enough and now I saved even more space in my makeup kit that I'm really trying to size down so I won't have to pay for the over weight when in flying back to Stockholm.

DFX project

Today for my final in Digital FX I turned my classmate Anna into an elfe, Lord of the Rings-style. This is a lot of fun to play around with and I'm very happy with the result, especially since I got a great grade on it and it will probably be featured at Cinema Makeup School's website.
Here's the picture of Anna that I used:

And here's the final result after quite a few hours in photoshop, especially that headpeice took some serious time:

White as snow

So between classes I could not resist working on one of my own pictures, an d it is amazing how big of a difference small changes do. Here's my first retouched and finished picture of Janea from our Bight Lips photoshoot, ready to get a place in my portfolio:

Maleficent

The first trailer for Disney's upcoming movie Maleficent came out today, and we've already seen it twice. The makeup done by Rick Baker has been shown on a couple of pictures before and every makeup artist I know is looking forward to see it for real, I do too!

Warrior Princess

Good morning! Or at least in L.A. it's morning and I'm heading to school in a little while.
A couple of days ago I got another picture of this beautiful lady and I must say that Robert Mosbach did a great job on this one, lovely warrior princess!

Digital FX

Coming back to school this morning, and as a student, was weird. It almost felt like last week was just a beautiful dream and I'm just glad that my every day reality is almost as dreamy. At least I got a fun start to this day when I got a copy of the latest Makeup Artist Magazine with two pages of pictures of me in it. And I think this week will continue as fun as it started, it is great to be back in school again even if it's just for a week. I'm taking a class in Digital FX, photoshop for makeupartists, which is great. We started off today with restoring old photos and also got in to some classic retouching, can't wait for tomorrow!
Before and after, the photo is from the school, photographer unkown.

Sugar Skull

From one job to another, I just finished my Sugar Skull!

Sugar Skull

A little sketch for todays makeup (yes, I'm doing way to many face charts right now!)

Mad makeup

I was suppost to work on facecharts for this weeks gigs but somehow I ended up doing on for the makeup I'm planning on doing on myself for my Halloween costume this Friday. How come you never feel inspired to do the things you really need to, but there's no problem spending hours sketching on things you don't even have to do? Well, here's a little sneak peak on my Mad Hatter/Chessboard Makeup!

Halloween Masks

Sketching, what else to do on a late Sunday night? Trying to get my concept down for a Halloween job on Thursday.

The Monster's Bride

Here's a better picture of my new palette from MAC Cosmetics, The Monster's Bride. I just love the green color and the one that looks greyish here actually has green glitter in it, amazing. This will defenitely be a palette to use for Halloween!
And also, check this out. When makeup legend Rick Baker introduced this line with MAC Cosmetics he also introduced a makeup challenge. Read all about it at macrickbaker.com, and just a heads up, I think we're gonna see some pretty awesome makeups for this competition.

The Face Off Party

So after work today I went to the Face Off Party by European Body Arts at Naimees with some friends. Free food, goodie bags, great makeups, everything you need for an awesome evening!
Snapshots from my phone, blurry as they should be..

Playing hard to get

I've been chasing this little thingy from Burbank, through LA and all the way to Santa Monica today, but finally I got it. Same as the one I have in Sweden but this one works in America. And on Thursday I'm going to try it for some fun stuff!

Son of Monsterpalooza

I stopped by at Son of Monsterpalooza today to look at the demos, see if they had something fun for sale and say hi to some friends!
